
Storm Set for Kool-Aid Night

KEARNEY, NE -The Tri-City Storm is set for tonight's Kool-Aid Night game at the Viaero Center against the Sioux City Musketeers. The Storm will wear specialty jerseys during the matchup, and the team will host a postgame auction following the contest. Tickets for tonight's game are still available, and may be purchased online at www.StormHockey.com, or by calling the Viaero Center Box Office at 308-338-8144. Puck drop is set for 7:05pm CT.
Tri-City (26-17-2-3) dropped a game in regulation time for the first time in over a month in last night's 6-2 home loss to Sioux City. The Storm had previously won eight consecutive games, and had notched points in the USHL's Western Conference standings in nine straight games. Jake Richard and Trevor Connelly each tallied a goal in last night's home loss. Last night's result was the Storm's first loss by more than three goals since dropping a 7-2 decision to the Waterloo Black Hawks on January 8th at the Viaero Center. The Storm has posted an 8-1-1-0 record over the last ten games, and currently trails the Lincoln Stars for 3rd place in the Western Conference standings by four points. Tri-City holds a ten-point lead over Sioux City in the conference standings. The Storm is 23-9-1-1- in head-to-head matchups against the Musketeers in the last five seasons. Tri-City is 11-4-0-1 in games played at the Viaero Center against Sioux City during that time span. Scoring leaders for the Storm entering tonight's 49th game of the regular season include Jake Richard (26), Graham Gamache (16), Trevor Connelly (16), Evan Werner (15), and August Falloon (13).
Sioux City (21-23-2-3) won a game at the Viaero Center for the first time this season in last night's four-goal road victory over Tri-City. Easton Zueger, Ryan Conmy, Finn Loftus, Ethan Gardula, Grant Slukynsky, and Max Strand scored a goal in last night's victory. The Musketeers are now 2-3-0-1 in head-to-head matchups against the Storm this year. Sioux City now holds a 5-11-0-0 record in matchups against Tri-City played at the Viaero Center over the last five seasons. The Musketeers were outshot by a 26-23 margin in last night's game, and the team is now 6-14-0-2 when outshot by its opponents this season. Sioux City will host Tri-City on April 7th at 7:05pm CT for the final head-to-head meeting of the regular season. Scoring leaders for the Musketeers entering tonight's road game against the Storm include Ryan Conmy (30), Grant Slukynsky (15), Tyler Hotson (14), Ben Poitras (13), Dylan Godbout (12), and Kaden Shana (12). Sioux City will return to action tomorrow evening in a road contest against the Omaha Lancers to complete a three-game weekend.
