
Storm Seeks Sixth Consecutive Win

KEARNEY, NE. - The Tri-City Storm will seek to extend its season-long winning streak to six games in tonight's home matchup against the Sioux Falls Stampede. Tickets for tonight's game may be purchased online at www.StormHockey.com, or by calling the Viaero Center Box Office at 308-338-8144. Puck drop for the matchup is scheduled for 7:05pm CT.
Tri-City (23-16-2-3) posted a 7-4 home victory over Sioux Falls last night at the Viaero Center. The Storm improved to 4-0-0-0 in head-to-head matchups against the Stampede this season in the three-goal win. Trevor Connelly (2), Tanner Adams (2), Jake Richard, Sebastian Törnqvist, and Cale Ashcroft each scored goals for Tri-City in the victory. The Storm enters tonight's game in 4th place in the USHL's Western Conference standings. The Storm has posted a 7-2-1-0 record over the last ten games, and has collected points in the standings in each of the team's past six games. Scoring leaders for Tri-City entering tonight's home game at the Viaero Center include Jake Richard (23), Evan Werner (14), Trevor Connelly (14), Graham Gamache (13), Kieran Cebrian (11), Tanner Adams (11), and August Falloon (11). The Storm will return to action next weekend with back-to-back road games against the Des Moines Buccaneers at Buccaneer Arena. Following next weekend's road series against Des Moines, Tri-City will return home to the Viaero Center for five consecutive home games against the Sioux City Musketeers (March 17th-18th) and the Fargo Force (March 24th-26th). The Storm can clinch a victory in this year's season series against the Stampede with a win tonight.
Sioux Falls (18-22-4-3) dropped to 3-5-2-0 in its last ten games following last night's three-goal road loss to Tri-City at the Viaero Center. The Stampede entered the game with the best powerplay conversion percentage in the Western Conference, and scored twice on the man advantage in last night's game. Isaac Gordon, and Noah Andersson each netted a goal in the 1st period to give Sioux Falls a two-goal lead in the matchup. Sioux Falls surrendered four consecutive goals during the 2nd period, and eventually fell by a final score of 7-4. Will McDonough scored a breakaway goal during the 2nd period, and Samuel Harris netted a powerplay goal during last night's 3rd period. Scoring leaders for Sioux Falls entering tonight's road game against the Storm include Samuel Harris (23), Isaac Gordon (14), Nick Ring (12), Maddox Fleming (10), Will McDonough (10), Chris Pelosi (10), and Ryan Gordon (9). The Stampede will return home to the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center next weekend to host the Waterloo Black Hawks and the Fargo Force in back-to-back games following tonight's road matchup against the Storm at the Viaero Center.
