Storm Players Named to NHL Central Scouting Preliminary List

Kearney, NE. - Two Tri-City Storm players, and one affiliate list player have been named to NHL Central Scouting's Preliminary "Players to Watch" list for the 2019 NHL Draft in Vancouver, British Columbia. Storm forward Brad Morrissey, goaltender Isaiah Saville, and affiliate list defenseman Mike Koster were all named to the initial list, which highlights the top draft eligible talent according to the NHL's Central Scouting Services (CSS). The service will continue to release updates periodically throughout the season ahead of the 2019 NHL Draft in June.

Brad Morrissey, 17, of Tignish, Prince Edward Island was drafted 68th overall in the 5th Round of the 2018 USHL Phase II draft by Tri-City and has skated in both regular season games this year for the Storm. Morrissey scored the season's first goal on the power play in Tri-City's 5-4 defeat of the Youngstown Phantoms on September 27th at the 2018 USHL Fall Classic in Cranberry Township, PA. Morrissey finished the preseason as the team's leader in points per game with five points in four games played. He scored two goals and recorded three assists for Tri-City during the exhibition schedule. Morrissey previously announced a commitment to play college hockey for the University of Maine.

Isaiah Saville, 18, of Anchorage, Alaska was drafted 68th overall in the 5th Round of the 2016 USHL Phase I draft by the Madison Capitols and was acquired by Tri-City in a trade on May 7th. Saville recorded his 1st career USHL win in his first career start in last week's Storm defeat of the Madison Capitols at the 2018 USHL Fall Classic. He stopped twenty one of twenty two Madison shots in Tri-City's 2-1 win. Saville currently leads all USHL goaltenders with a 0.955% save percentage, and is tied for the league lead in Goals Against Average (GAA) with a GAA of 1.00. Last month, Saville competed in the 2018 USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game in St. Paul, Minnesota. Saville previously announced a commitment to play college hockey for the University of Nebraska Omaha.

Mike Koster, 17, of Chaska, Minnesota was drafted 2nd overall in the 2017 USHL Phase I draft by Tri-City and skated in twenty three games with the team last season. He scored two goals and registered nine assists for eleven total points. Koster recorded an assist in last month's 2018 USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game. Koster previously announced a commitment to play college hockey for the University of Minnesota.

Tri-City had two players drafted at the 2018 NHL Draft in Dallas, Texas. Tyler Madden was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks 68th overall in the 3rd round, and Sam Hentges was selected 210th overall by the Minnesota Wild.
