Tri-City Storm News Release
Kearney, Neb. - Tri-City Storm Head Coach and General Manager Bill Muckalt has named forward Alex Limoges team Captain and forward Adam Goodsir Alternate Captain. Muckalt installed Limoges as Captain three days after Tri-City traded former Captain Jack McNeely to the Muskegon Lumberjacks on Monday.
"Alex has earned the right to be our Captain," Muckalt said. "He's a player others look to for leadership and has established himself as a key cog for us this season."
Limoges paces the Storm with 11 goals, tied for third in the league, and 20 points. The Cornell commit is one of 12 USHL players to reach 20 points this season. Earlier this season, Limoges became the first Storm player to record at least a goal in six consecutive games, potting seven total from October 7-29.
Goodsir, 18, was one of five Storm players listed to NHL Central Scouting's November "Players to Watch" list for the 2017 NHL Draft. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound center was given a "C" rating, denoting a potential 4th-6th round pick.
"Adam has emerged as a player that our coaching staff can count on," Muckalt explained. "He does the right things on the ice and in the locker room. He's worked hard in his first year in the USHL to make himself better every day."
Committed to Denver and in his first USHL season, Goodsir has four goals, seven points and 18 penalty minutes in 18 games.
