Storm Look for Division Championship on Saturday

The Sioux Falls Storm and Bloomington Extreme will close out the regular season on Saturday night at the Sioux Falls Arena. This is Bloomington's second trip to Sioux Falls as the Storm defeated the Extreme 66-35 on July 1, 2006. In Week 1 of this season, Sioux Falls traveled to Bloomington and defeated the Extreme by a score of 51-37.

The Bloomington Extreme locked up the #1 seed in the Eastern Conference with their 64-43 victory over the Omaha Beef last week. The Extreme have a 7-6 record and will receive a bye in the first-round of the UIF Playoffs.

The Extreme offense is led by quarterback Dusty Burk. Burk is second in the league in touchdown passes with 45 and is one of the favorites for the league?s MVP award. Receiver James Walton is second in the league in receptions (71) and first in the league in receiving yards (906). Receiver Derin Graham is also fifth in the league in receiving yards per game (60.8)

The Extreme defense is allowing the second most points in the league with 46.0 points per game. Quince Holman leads the team in tackles with 70.5, which ranks 6th in the UIF. Holman also has 7.0 sacks, which ranks second in the league. James Temple is tenth in the league with 61.5 tackles.

With a win, Sioux Falls (10-3) will host the Western Conference Championship on Saturday, June 28. If the Storm should fall to the #2 seed, Sioux Falls will host a first-round game on Monday, June 23. Kickoff for either game is set for 7:05 PM.
