
Omaha Beef To Host Drill And Drum Bash 2008 Saturday Afternoon

Omaha, NE - Together with their official drum line-the Salem Stepping Saints, the Omaha Beef professional indoor football team will host the "Drill and Drum Bash 2008" Saturday afternoon at the Omaha Civic Auditorium, 1804 Capitol Avenue in Omaha.
The doors will open at 2:30 p.m. and the competition is slated to begin at 3 p.m. If people want to attend the event, the admission price is $6 per person.
The Salem Stepping Saints will be performing at the event. Four other teams from the Midwest have also committed to participate in the event and they are:
The Infamous Marchin' White Tigers from Wichita, Kansas
The Isiserettes Drill and Drum Corp from Des Moines, Iowa
The Lord's Warriors Drill Team from Waterloo, Iowa
Willie Arthur Smith's Marching Cobras from Kansas City, Missouri
In addition to the event, each of the five groups will be performing at halftime of the BEEF's last regular season home game against the Sioux City Bandits with kickoff slated for 7 p.m.
Trevor Johnson, BEEF Operations Manager, looks forward to the event.
"There's nothing more exciting than seeing a drum line perform a perfect routine," Johnson said. "With this competition, we will be having five excellent drum lines showcase their stuff on Saturday afternoon in what promise to be a great event for everyone involved."
Saturday's game will be "Orange Out" Night as the BEEF will be giving out orange t-shirts to the first 2,500 fans that pass through the Civic Auditorium gates. During the game, the team will wear special orange jerseys. After the game, the jerseys, along with dinner dates with a Prime Dancer, a Rump Roaster and a BEEF player, will be auctioned off via a live auction to benefit Cale Ferrin. Cale is the 19-month-old son of Justin and Britteny Ferrin of Omaha and is battling Fanconi Anemia.
In addition to the game, the BEEF's pre-game meal will be held at Texas Roadhouse, 520 N. 155th Plaza in Omaha, beginning at 2:30 p.m. Fans are welcome to join the BEEF for their pre-game meal at Texas Roadhouse. Fans are also encouraged to attend the BEEF Boardwalk before every home game, which will have games, music and entertainment out near the entrance of the Omaha Civic Auditorium.
The BEEF are in their ninth year of Professional Indoor Football in Omaha, NE. Home games are played March through June. All home games start at 7:00pm at "The Slaughterhouse" - Omaha Civic Auditorium. The Beef are a member of the United Indoor Football Association, the premier indoor football league in America.
