Storm Face Danger in Week 3 Match-Up

SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Sioux Falls Storm head to Grand Island to face the Nebraska Danger on Saturday, March 9 at 7:05 PM.

The Storm look to gain momentum after moving to 1-0 after defeating the Cedar Rapids River Kings 47-44 on February 23. In that game, quarterback Lorenzo Brown completed nine passes for 106 yards and one touchdown while rushing for 41 yards. Running back Darrian Miller rushed for 58 yards and had two touchdowns. Wide receiver Brandon Sheperd had seven receptions for 86 yards and one touchdown. Kicker Miles Bergner made four field goals and made all five extra points. Tra'Von Chapman had 95 kickoff return yards and one touchdown. Defensive back DeAndre Scott lead the Thunder Defense with nine tackles, he also had one forced fumble and one pass break-up. Defensive back Trey Wafford had two pass break-ups and one block. Defensive lineman Charles Williams had one sack and linebacker Daelin Young had one sack.

The Danger look to bounce back after a hard fought battle against the Green Bay Blizzard on March 1, the Danger lost 52-53. In that game, quarterback Tommy Armstrong completed 14 passes for 134 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions while rushing for 73 yards and one touchdown. Running back Davonte Sapp-Lynch rushed for 33 yards and three touchdowns, he also had four receptions for 19 yards. Wide receivers Troy Evans Jr. and Gregory Dent Jr. each had one touchdown. The Danger defense had 52 tackles, two tackles for loss, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, one interception and two pass break-ups.
