Kearney, NE - The Tri-City Storm downed the Lincoln Stars 4-2 at the Viaero Center in Kearney Tuesday night. The Storm got goals in the game from Elias Rosen, Ian Murphy, Connor McMenamin, and Shane Pinto in the win. Isaiah Saville made 20 saves on 22 shots to record his 22nd win of the season in net. In the win, Tri-City stretched its USHL league lead to nine points over the Muskegon Lumberjacks, and now lead the Waterloo Black Hawks by fourteen points in the Western Conference standings. The Storm carry a six-game winning streak into Friday's road game against Dubuque. Puck drop for Friday's road game against the Fighting Saints is set for 7:05pm.

The Storm jumped on the board Tuesday night at the Viaero Center after Elias Rosen netted his 5th goal of the season less than five minutes into the 1st period. Ian Murphy scored his 7th goal of the season with less than a minute to play in the period to increase the Tri-City lead to two. Murphy's goal was scored at 19:27 of the 1st period and was assisted by Colby Ambrosio. Connor McMenamin scored at 0:44 of the 2nd period to quickly give Tri-City a three-goal lead to start the 2nd period. McMenamin's 24th goal of the year was assisted by Filip Forsmark. Shane Pinto scored the Storm's final goal of the game on the power play at 10:12 of the 2nd period. The goal was Pinto's 24th of the year and was assisted by Ronnie Attard and Isaiah Saville. The secondary assist on Pinto's goal by Saville was his 1st Career USHL point. Tri-City outshot Lincoln 12-5 in the 2nd period and carried a 4-0 lead into the 3rd period.

The Stars scored two goals in the final two minutes of the game to bring the Storm lead to 4-2. Zach Dubinsky scored his 2nd of the year at 18:19 of the 3rd period, and Michael Colella netted his 9th goal of the season with six seconds left to go in the game. Tri-City outshot Lincoln 31-22 and won the game 4-2. The win gave the Storm its eighth win of the year over Lincoln in a nine game regular season series.

Tri-City improved to 41-10-2-1 with the win and 23-3-2-0 on home ice at the Viaero Center. Tri-City has six road games upcoming before closing out the regular season on home ice with games against Des Moines and Sioux City on Friday April 12th, and Saturday April 13th.
