Kearney, NE - The Tri-City Storm defeated the Sioux City Musketeers by a final score of 5-1 Saturday night at the Viaero Center. Five different players scored goals in the game and Isaiah Saville recorded his 20th win of the year in net for Tri-City. The Storm now hold a five-point advantage over the Muskegon Lumberjacks in the league standings. Tri-City returns to action Friday night in a home game against the Lincoln Stars.

Sioux City opened the scoring just over seven minutes into the game on a goal scored by Josh Boyer. The goal was the only scoring play of the night for the Musketeers as Tri-City netted five unanswered goals to record its 20th home win of the year. Elias Rosen scored his 3rd goal of the year with less than two minutes to play in the 1st period to tie the game at 1-1. The goal scored by Rosen was netted at 18:03 of the 1st period and was assisted by Keaton Pehrson and Connor McMenamin. Tri-City outshot Sioux City 9-5 in the 1st period. Connor McMenamin netted the only goal of the 2nd period on a breakaway to give Tri-City a 2-1 lead. McMenamin's goal was his 23rd of the season and was assisted by Filip Forsmark. Tri-City outshot Sioux City 12-4 in the 2nd period and carried a one goal lead into the 3rd period.

Brendan Budy scored his 8th goal of the year at 11:28 of the 3rd period to increase the Storm's lead to three goals. Less than a minute later, at the 12:12 mark of the period, Filip Forsmark fired a puck off the back of Musketeers goaltender Ben Kraws to give Tri-City a 4-1 advantage. Forsmark's goal was assisted by Connor McMenamin and Keaton Pehrson. The final scoring play of the night was Ronnie Attard's 24th goal of the year at 13:35 of the 3rd period. The goal was an empty net goal as Sioux City lifted Kraws for an extra attacker during a power play. Attard's shorthanded goal sealed Tri-City's 38th win of the year.

Connor McMenamin was named the 1st Star of the Game with teammates Filip Forsmark and Keaton Pehrson picking up 2nd Star and 3rd Star honors. Tri-City is now 38-10-2-1 and 20-3-2-0 on home ice this season.
