Thank you to the GMHA
Feb 01, 2013
The Guelph Storm Hockey Club would like to thank Guelph Minor Hockey Association and their members for 14 great years as the proud title sponsor of the GMHA Jr. Storm rep program.
Over 14 years, it has been our pleasure to be part of a wonderful association and see the Storm colours and logo on youngsters around Guelph arenas and across the world in tournaments. Young Canadian hockey players aspire to play in the world's premier junior hockey league on their way to the NHL and as we see the likes of our own Brock McGinn (pictured) graduate from the Jr. Storm to the Guelph Storm and hear his name called in the 2nd round of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, we are honoured to be a part of Brock's dreams and the dreams of other Jr. Storm members.
While we wish we could have been part of more dreams,we are very disappointed our relationship has been terminated particularily with little discussion or opportunity to find a way to keep moving this long and successful partnership forward.
While disappointed, we look forward to working closely with all young hockey players in Guelph and are hopeful of continuing a partnership in some form with the GMHA as we all watch these young boys and girls develop personally and as hockey players in the years to come.
