Omaha Storm Chasers News Release
Papillion, Neb. - Time Warner Cable, Metro Sports and the Omaha Storm Chasers are teaming up to televise seven games live from Werner Park this summer, the cable television leader and Triple-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals announced Monday. The seven contests to be televised are four more than what was telecast last season.
The Storm Chasers' home games on June 7, 21, 28; July 12, 19 and August 2 and 23 will air across the region on Time Warner Cable Metro Sports in the Kansas City area, in Lincoln, Neb., as well as on Cox Channel 2 in Omaha, reaching a total of more than one million viewers. Chasers broadcaster Mark Nasser will deliver the television play-by-play alongside former Kansas City Royals pitcher Al Fitzmorris.
"We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Time Warner Cable and Metro Sports to be able to showcase Storm Chasers baseball throughout the Midwest," said President and General Manager of the Omaha Storm Chasers, Martie Cordaro. "We look at this as an opportunity to showcase not only Werner Park and the Omaha Storm Chasers but to shine a spotlight on our passionate and enthusiastic fan base."
These televised games will give fans the ability to glimpse into the future and see top prospects like Mike Montgomery, Johnny Giavotella and Clint Robinson as well as veterans and familiar faces like Jarrod Dyson, Kevin Kouzmanoff, Max Ramirez and Tony Abreu.
Time Warner Cable Metro Sports is Kansas City's 24-hour all-sports television network. It is shown in the Kansas City area on Time Warner Cable channel 310 in digital and in HD on channel 1310.
