
Storm Award Winners Recognized

The Guelph Storm wrapped up the 2012-13 season on Sunday afternoon at the Delta Hotel as the year-end awards were handed out.
Ryan Horvat was the big winner taking home three different awards including the Roger Neilson Memorial Award, Mike Kelly Humanitarian and the Fay Scott Memorial Award.
Cody McNaughton was recognized by the fans for his five years with the team winning the Fan Favourite award
Other awards given out on Sunday include the Top Scorer, the Owens Corning 'Playmaker Trophy' and the Academic Achievement awards. The First year players were also recognized by the team with a plaque that included their first goal puck.
The MVP, Top Defenceman, Rookie of the Year, Leadership Award as well as some others will be awarded at the conclusion of the Storm playoff run.

OWENS CORNING TONY CAMILLERI MEMORIAL "PLAYMAKER TROPHY"- presented to player with most regular season assists -WINNER: Tanner Richard (51 assists)
IVAN TENNANT MEMORIAL AWARD NOMINEE- presented to top academic player attending secondary school -WINNER: Chadd Bauman
ROGER NEILSON MEMORIAL AWARD NOMINEE- presented to top academic player attending post-secondary institution -WINNER: Ryan Horvat
PAUL FENDLEY MEMORIAL SCHOLASTIC PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARDAlso Guelph Storm Nominee for OHL Bobby Smith Award- presented to the player with best combined achievement in academics and hockey -WINNER: Jason Dickinson
MIKE KELLY HUMANITARIAN AWARD- presented to player for exceptional involvement in community - WINNER: Ryan Horvat
FAY SCOTT MEMORIAL AWARD- presented to the player that demonstrates outstanding achievement in academics and community involvement - WINNER: Ryan Horvat
FAN CLUB AWARD- presented to most popular player as voted on by Storm Tracker membership -WINNER: Cody McNaughton
