Storm Announce 2005-06 Training Camp Roster

(Toledo, Ohio) Toledo Storm of the ECHL announced today its 2005-06 training camp roster. In a separate move, the Storm signed goaltenders Mike Brown and Chad Collins to contracts. The first training camp practice is today at 2pm. Players with an * before their name are signed to a tryout agreement.

The camp features thirteen forwards: Shawn Collymore, Ken Magowan, Barret Ehgoetz, *Steve Nagy, Chris Blight, *Todd Nowicki, Ryan Gale, Braken Kearns, *Carmen Minor, Mike James, Mark Turner, Scooter Smith, and Jeff Attard. There is ten defenseman in this year's camp: Josh Zavitz, *Mike Utzig, Gerry Burke, *Johan Ekblom, *Henrik Arnstrom, Jason Maleyko, P.J. Martin, B.J. Adams, Jeff Lang, and Simo Pulkki.

Mike Brown is a rookie for Ferris State University, where he holds the FSU record for wins with 63, most career shutouts with 10, and most saves (3409). He is second in school history in goals against average (2.82) and in save percentage (.907). Brown, a native of Calgary, Alberta, finished his college career with a record of 63-57-7. Chad Collins comes to Toledo after a season in which he was goaltender of the year with Fayetteville in the Southern Professional Hockey League. He posted outstanding numbers there with a 25-13 record, a 2.48 GAA, and a .922 SVP. Chad also appeared in four contests for now Toledo Assistant Stan Drulia in Augusta. Brown and Collins are the only goaltenders in camp.
