
Stone Named NWL Player of the Week

The Waterloo Bucks, a member of the Northwoods League, have announced that pitcher Jacob Stone has been named AKA Services Bucks Player of the Week. Stone, a native of Fort Worth, Texas played his first two seasons at Weathorford Community College and will be transferring to the University of Arkansas next season.
This week, Stone allowed four runs off seven hits and struck out 13 batters in 13 innings of work. Stone's week was highlighted by throwing the Bucks' first complete game no-hitter in franchise history and the first in the Northwoods League since 2010. Stone struck out seven Thunder Bay Border Cats in the victory.
On the season, Stone has been dominant on the mound. He is currently 2-0 with a 1.50 ERA and 15 strikeouts in 18 innings of work.
