PINTO SINGLE SINKS MARAUDERS 2-1

Rene Pinto's eighth inning single proved to be the difference Monday, as the Stone Crabs came from behind to beat Bradenton 2-1. Josh Fleming turned in the longest outing of the year by a Stone Crabs pitcher, allowing just one run over 7.2 frames. Ivan Pelaez went the final 1.1 to earn the save.

"STRO"-LLING TO FIRST

Stone Crabs utility man Miles Mastrobuoni is putting together one of the most consistent, under-the-radar seasons of any Charlotte player. He is four walks from placing top-10 in franchise history and is fifth in the circuit in hitting (.299). He has played six positions and occupied eight spots in the batting order.

CLUTCH CRABS
