TODAY'S GAME: Game two of a three-game series against the Palm Beach Cardinals (StL) at Osceola County Stadium (0-1)...Game two of a seven-game homestand against Palm Beach at the Fort Myers Miracle (0-1)...Florida is coming off a three-game series defeat to the Miracle at Hammond Stadium, and a 1-5 road trip against Fort Myers and the Charlotte Stone Crabs...Fourth, and final, series between Florida and Palm Beach in 2018, with the series tied 5-5...The Fire Frogs dropped two of three at home against the St. Louis' Cardinals affiliate from May 1-3.

TODAY'S STARTING PITCHER: 20-year-old Ian Anderson makes his 20th start of 2018 in game two of the three-game series against the Palm Beach Cardinals on Tuesday night...The 6'3" hurler came into the campaign as the Atlanta Braves' fifth-ranked prospect according to Baseball America, and is currently third according MLB.com, and is the 39th-ranked (MLB.com) overall rated prospect in baseball...The native of Rexford, N.Y. did not factor into the decision of a 6-3, extra-innings loss to the Charlotte Stone Crabs on Aug. 1...The right-hander tossed a career-high, 7.2 no-hit innings with a walk and five strikeouts on 100 pitches (66 strikes)...Tuesday will be Anderson's fourth start against the Cardinals this season...The 6-foot-3 hurler has not allowed a run over 15 innings against the St. Louis Cardinals' affiliate in 2018, while limiting the opponent to six hits, four fre passes and 18 punchouts...The third overall pick in the 2016 draft blanked Palm Beach over five innings at Osceola County Stadium on May 1, with thre hits allowed, one walk and six strikeouts.

JOHNSTONE SOLID IN RETURN, FLORIDA FALTERS LATE TO PALM BEACH: The Florida Fire Frogs took a 2-0 lead into the ninth inning, but saw the advantage slip away into a 3-2 defeat at the hands of the Palm Beach Cardinals at Osceola County Stadium on Monday night.

Connor Johnstone left the contest with a chance for the win in his first appearance at the High-A level since July 8. The product of Wake Forest blanked the Cardinals through five frames on three hits and five punchouts. Of the right-hander's 66 pitches, 48 went for strikes.

THE KING CONTINUES: Jared James picked up an RBI single in the third inning on Monday to stretch his hitting streak to eight games...The Sacramento native is hitting .387 (12-for-31) with three multi-hit performances...The left-handed batter has raised his average be 16 points from .242 to .258 since July 31.

ANDERSON NAMED PITCHER OF THE WEEK: For the second time in less than a month, Florida Fire Frogs starting pitcher Ian Anderson has been named the Pitcher of the Week for the week of July 30 - Aug. 5 in the Florida State League...This is the Rexford, N.Y. native's third career Pitcher of the Week award, with the first coming in May, 2017, and the second earned in July of this season...The 20-year-old becomes the first Florida player to earn multiple weekly honors in a season.

The Atlanta Braves' third-ranked prospect (MLB.com) held the Charlotte Stone Crabs hitless through 7.2 innings of work at Charlotte Sports Park on Aug. 1. The right-hander did walk a man, but struck out five in the longest outing of his career...Since the start of July, the third overall pick of the 2016 draft has allowed just three runs - two earned - over 29.2 innings on 13 hits, five free passes and 37 strikeouts.

BUILDING THE PIPELINE: MLB Pipeline revealed its updated prospect rankings, and nine Atlanta Braves farmhands cracked the top-100...Of the nine, seven either currenlty played, or have previously played for the Fire Frogs: Kyle Wright (24), Ian Anderson (38), Austin Riley (43), Cristian Pache (57), Luiz Gohara (61), Touki Toussaint (76), and Drew Waters (98).
