St. Lucie Mets News Release

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - Greg Harris shut out the St. Lucie Mets for seven innings in a 4-0 win for the Charlotte Stone Crabs on Wednesday at Tradition Field.

The Stone Crabs scored all four of their runs in the third inning against Chris Flexen. Bralin Jackson started the frame with a double and he scored on Alec Sole's single. The Crabs would load the bases with one out and get three consecutive RBI singles from Cristian Toribio, Mac James and Grant Kay to go up 4-0.

Flexen stopped the bleeding with a strike out and fly out to strand the bases loaded.

The Mets briefly threatened Harris in the bottom of the third by loading the bases, but Harris induced an inning-ending double play ball from Luis Guillorme.

Harris limited the Mets to three hits. He walked two and struck out three.

All five hits for the Mets were singles. No player had multiple hits.

Flexen fell to 0-3 in three starts. All 10 runs he's allowed have come in three of his 18.2 innings pitched. Meanwhile, when Flexen has been in the game this season the Mets offense has only scored one run. They've been shut out in two of his starts.
