
Stockton Kings and Kaiser Permanente Relaunch "Fit Kids" Program

Stockton, Calif. - Today, the Stockton Kings, the NBA G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings, and partner Kaiser Permanente are reintroducing their youth "Fit Kids" program to promote health and wellness.
"The Stockton Kings are proud to partner with Kaiser Permanente to promote the importance of health and education," said Stockton Kings Vice President of Business Operations Aaron Morales. "We hope the relaunch of this program will help create healthy habits in our community and provide our youth informational tools to maintain an active lifestyle."
The program, which is in its second year, is designed for 3rd through 5th grade students and includes a workbook with daily activities related to a weekly topic. Topics include nutrition, hydration, movement, and mindfulness. These activities are interactive and educational, created to teach young students healthy habits to have a lasting positive impact on their lives.
Six elementary schools across the Stockton Unified School District will participate in the program, impacting more than 2,000 local students. The Stockton Kings will visit Spanos Elementary, Hazelton Elementary, Fillmore Elementary, El Dorado Elementary, August Elementary and Van Buren Elementary to drop off 400 "Fit Kids" bags to each school containing a workbook, water bottle, reusable ice therapy pack and masks for every student in the program grade levels.
