
Stockton Kings Acquire Player Rights to Derrick Griffin and First-Round Draft Picks

Stockton, Calif. - The Stockton Kings, the NBA G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings, announced today they have acquired player rights to Derrick Griffin and Agua Caliente and Salt Lake's 2019 first-round draft picks in exchange for player rights to South Bay for David Stockton and Reggie Hearn.
Griffin averaged 5.5 points (.616 FG%, .533 FT%), and 3.5 rebounds in 25 games played for South Bay last season.
The 6'7 forward had an impressive two-year (2015-2017) stint at Texas Southern University. He was named SWAC Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, First Team All-SWAC, and honorable mention All-American during the 2015-16 season.
Stockton played in 142 career games for the Kings G League franchise (106 starts) and amassed averages of 18.0 points (.449 FG%, .382 3pt%, .819 FT%), 3.6 rebounds, 7.1 assists, 1.7 steals and 30.6 minutes per game.
In his six-year career, Hearn averaged 11.0 points (.428 FG%, .399 3pt%, .793%), 4.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists, .6 steals and 27.4 minutes per game for the Idaho Stampede (2013-15), Reno Bighorns (2015-18), Grand Rapids Drive (2017-18), and Stockton Kings (2018-19). In total, Hearn played in 159 total games for the Kings franchise.
