Stingrays Add Three to Front Office

North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays and President Darren Abbott announced today that the hiring of Josh Heller, Justin Brown and Michael Bellis.

Josh Heller will join the Stingrays next month in the role of Broadcaster/Ticket Sales Executive. The Burlington, Mass. native comes to the Rays from the Pensacola Pelicans of the American Association where he has served as Assistant Director of Broadcasting since May 2007. Prior to the Pelicans, Heller was the Sports Director at WRBB Radio in Boston, Mass. from 2004-2007 where his responsibilities included broadcasting all the Northeastern men's hockey team games.

A graduate of Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies, Heller will oversee all play-by-play announcing for the Stingrays along with contributing articles and press releases to the website and local papers following each game. In addition, Heller will contribute as a Ticket Sales Executive by generating new group and season tickets as well as assist in the ticket renewal process.

"Josh was highly recommended by numerous professional hockey broadcasters," Abbott said. "Northeastern University has produced a number of top broadcasters. We're happy to have him join our organization."

Justin Brown and Michael Bellis will also join the Stingrays next month, both as Ticket Sales Executives.

Brown comes to the Stingrays from Blackbaud where he has worked since July 2006. The Mount Pleasant, NC native began as an Enterprise/National Account Development Representative before becoming a Level 2 Account Development Representative in June 2007. Brown is a graduate of Wake Forest University where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.

Bellis joins the Rays in his first stint at hockey after spending last season with Major League Baseball's Kansas City Royals as a Call Center Sales and Customer Service Representative. The Overland Park, KS native earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Benedictine College in 2001 and a Master of Business Administration degree from Wichita State University in 2007.

As Ticket Sales Executives, Brown and Bellis will be responsible for both group and season ticket sales in addition to assisting with the season ticket renewal process for the remainder of the summer.
