WHEELING, WV - The Wheeling Nailers, the "AA" affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Philadelphia Flyers, have announced the signing of Aaron Clarke and Michael Handza. Clarke comes to Wheeling from Robert Morris University while Handza is a native of Glenshaw, PA.
Handza, 23, won back-to-back national championships during his freshman and sophomore years at the University of Denver. The 6-1, 220lb forward knew his role on those teams and played it well, sacrificing points for a role as a defensive center. While playing in an impressive 156 games during his four-year tenure, he put up 24 points (8g, 16a).
