Stingrays Add Forward Ricci

South Carolina Stingrays News Release
North Charleston, SC -The South Carolina Stingrays announced today that they have signed rookie forward Rob Ricci. In keeping with club policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
"He's been an excellent player in college," said Head Coach Jared Bednar. "He's a small guy that is shifty and can find openings. He is also a very good faceoff guy and will help us down the road."
Ricci was signed by the Las Vegas Wranglers after completing his Junior year at Merrimack College. In the four games he played with Vegas he had two assists and four penalty minutes.
In college, the 5-9 165 pound Ricci played 99 games with the Warriors finishing with 34 goals and 49 assists, 83 total points, to go along with 105 penalty minutes. He lead the team in scoring all three years he was there with his best season coming his sophomore year when he had 13 goals 21 assists, 34 points.
Prior to college, the Brampton, ONT native played two years in the USHL with the Cedar Rapids Rough Riders and and two years in the OPJHL splitting time between the Georgetown Raiders and the Milton Merchants.
