Sting Well Represented at NLL All-Star Game

Arizona Sting News Release


GLENDALE, AZ --- The National Lacrosse League has announced the reserves for its 2006 All-Star Game, which will be played at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto on Saturday, February 25th at 2:00 PM Arizona Time. The East and West Division teams will each have twelve reserves, combined with the six starters that were previously announced, for a total of 18 players on each All-Star Team. East All-Stars head coach Ed Comeau (Rochester) and assistant coach Lindsay Sanderson (Philadelphia), and West All-Stars head coach Bob Hamley (Arizona) and assistant coach Chris Hall (Calgary) selected the first nine reserves for their respective divisions. The league appointed the final three reserves for each division.

The Arizona Sting will be well represented at the All-Star Game, with team captain Peter Lough being named as a reserve along with fellow defenders Scott Self and Bruce Codd as well as forward Jonas Derks. Derks was named the NLL Offensive and Overall Player of the Week in Week #2 of the season and is off to one of the best starts of his career.
