
Minnesota Swarm's Ryan Cousins Named to NLL All-Star Team

SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The National Lacrosse League (NLL) announced today that Minnesota Swarm defenseman Ryan Cousins was named a reserve for the East Division All-Star Team at the 2006 NLL All-Star Game.
The 2006 NLL All-Star Game will take place on Saturday, February 25th at Air Canada Centre in Toronto, home of the Toronto Rock. Face-off is set for 3:00 PM Central. KSTC.TV, Channel 45 will rebroadcast the 2006 NLL All-Star Game on Saturday, February 25 at 9:00 PM.
Cousins, 24 (4/1/81), has collected four assists, 19 penalty minutes and 28 loose balls in six games with Minnesota this season. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound team captain was also named a reserve in the 2005 NLL All-Star game and scored a goal in the East's 11-10 overtime victory.
The East and West Division All-Star teams each consist of eighteen players (sixteen runners and two goaltenders). The starting lineups for the East and West Division teams were announced on Monday. Online fan balloting comprised one-third of the selection of the starting lineups, with the league's general managers and media providing the other two-thirds. East All-Stars head coach Ed Comeau (Rochester) and assistant coach Lindsay Sanderson (Philadelphia), and West All-Stars head coach Bob Hamley (Arizona) and assistant coach Chris Hall (Calgary) selected the first nine reserves for their respective divisions. The league appointed the final three reserves for each division.
The Swarm (4-3) plays at Buffalo (3-2) Saturday night. Fans can watch all Minnesota Swarm games online via B2 networks for $6.00.
