(SARNIA, ON) - Jordan Kyrou and Ryan Vendramin each score twice, as the Sting doubled the Spitfires, 4-2, in the back half of a home-and-home series between the clubs Friday night at the RBC Centre.

The Spits opened the scoring at 13:36 of the first period, as Logan Brown wisely elected to shoot on a 2-on-1, using Ryan Moore as a decoy and beating Justin Fazio (22 saves) blocker side.

Both Kryou's two goals and one of Ryan Vendramin's came in a rough second period defensively for the Spits and proved too much to overcome.

Aaron Luchuk's first of the preseason kept the Spits close after 40 minutes. Despite managing 11 shots, the Spits couldn't tie the game in the final frame.

Vendramin's second of the night salted away the win with less than six minutes to play.

Brendan Johnston played well in goal for Windsor, making 31 saves.

NOTES

Windsor ran its consecutive streak of penalties killed to 12.

The Spits were once again without five regulars at NHL camps: Josh Ho-Sang (NYI), Patrick Sanvido (DAL), Cristiano DiGiacinto (TB), Brady Vail (CAR) and Markus Soberg (CBJ).

Steven Taylor replaced Fazio at the 9:04 mark of the third period, making seven stops.

The preseason wraps up with a visit to Thorold on Tuesday, as the Spits take on the Niagara IceDogs.
