
Sting Sign Second Round Selection Defenceman James Barr

Sarnia, ON. - Sarnia Sting General Manager Dylan Seca announced this afternoon that the Hockey Club has signed 6'1", 163-pound defenceman James Barr to an Ontario Hockey League (OHL) Standard Player Agreement.
The 15-year-old Oakville, Ontario native was selected by the Sting in the second round of the 2023 OHL Priority Selection last month. During his draft year, the smooth skating right-shot defenceman recorded 7 goals and 31 assists through 36 regular season games played in addition to 3 goals and 3 assists through 8 playoffs games for the Burlington Eagles U16 AAA team.
On the addition of Barr, Seca comments:
"James Barr has all the tools we look for in defencemen. He skates well, can make plays with the puck, and he competes hard. We welcome James and the Barr family to Sting Nation."
