SteelHounds Exhibition Game Versus Dayton Scheduled For Tomorrow

October 12, 2006 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Youngstown SteelHounds News Release

YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO - The Youngstown SteelHounds season is rapidly approaching with the team preparing for their lone exhibition game of the pre-season on Friday, October 13th when the Hounds host the Dayton Bombers of the ECHL at the Chevrolet Centre. Face-off is scheduled for 7:05 PM.

Tickets for the game still remain and are available for $5.00 (all seats general admission). SteelHounds season ticket holders and mini-plan holders are able to attend the game for free.

The Hounds have 29 players in camp and tomorrow's exhibition game will be the only chance many of these players have to make an impression on first-year SteelHounds Head Coach Kevin Kaminski and make the opening day roster. There will be numerous cuts following tomorrow's game.

"I wish I had more time and more chances to see what many of these young players can do," said Kaminski. "But in this league the one week training camp is all you get and we only have the chance to play the one game. We have been competing in scrimmages all week that has gotten us prepared for the game versus Dayton so I know our guys will be ready to hit someone other than each other."

Youngstown begins their regular season on Friday, October 20th in Memphis and have their home opener slated for Friday, October 27th versus Rocky Mountain.

SteelHounds season tickets and mini-plans are available. Call (330) 747-PUCK (7825) for more information or visit the Hounds online home at www.steelhounds.com.
