Steelhawk Coaches Selected to National Bowl Staff

Bethlehem, PA: Lehigh Valley Steelhawks Head Coach Rich Britt, and his staff have been selected to coach in the National Bowl. The game will be played at J. Birney Crum Stadium in Allentown on December 4th at 1:00pm and will feature the Blue National team versus the Red National Team.

Steelhawk coaches will head the Blue National team, and the Red National team will be headed by Coach Rogol of the Danville Dragons (UIFL). Other professional coaches will lead the Special Teams.

The National Bowl features a matchup of college All Americans and All Conference seniors from around the country, mainly from smaller Division II and Division III programs. Only the best are asked to participate but players may request admission. This event is a great way for aspiring professionals to gain national exposure and to get in front of some big name scouts and coaches.

"This is a great local event for kids to go up against the best in the country and to get some exposure," stated Steelhawks Head Coach Rich Britt. "I'm excited to be a part of this game that is being played in our backyard. It's a great opportunity to evaluate talent right in front of our faces, instead of just watching film on these athletes."

In addition to Head Coach Rich Britt, the rest of the Steelhawks staff that will participate include Kevin O'Hanlon, Bob Koehler, James Parham, Al Stokes, and General Manager Mike Clark.

The National Bowl is hosted by East Preps LLC (EastPreps.com) which also hosts the successful D2-D3 Proday & National Scouting Combine. The National Bowl is a weekend of fun filled events, practices, and fellowship. College coaches and Pro coaches collaborate in coaching both teams while many Pro Scouts view from the sidelines.
