Leonard Stevenson Added to Solid Express Receiving Corps

Reading, Pa. (October 19, 2011) -The Reading Express have signed wide receiver Leonard Stevenson out of Wesley College, one of the top NCAA Division III programs in the country. A native of Nanjemoy, Md., Stevenson hit his stride during his senior season at Wesley. Stevenson started all 13 games, tallying 45 catches for 722 total yards and eight touchdowns. He posted averages of 16 yards per catch and 55.5 yards per game. His play led to the honor of being named Atlantic Central Football Conference Second Team Wide Receiver.

"The Express organization is extremely proud to announce this signing," said Mark Steinmeyer, head coach of the Reading Express. "Leonard played for a nationally ranked team at Wesley and played against some of the best talent in the country. He brings the ability to make the big play and understands the game of football. You can be sure to see him making some unbelievable catches this season."

The Reading Express are one of the most established franchises in indoor football. In six full seasons, the team has amassed an overall record of 73-27 with five division championships, two conference titles and the 2009 AIFA National Championship. In 2011, Reading began play as a new member of the Indoor Football League and captured the league's Atlantic Division title. The team plays on The Reading Hospital Medical Group Field at Sovereign Center in Reading, Pa.
