Chicago Steel News Release
GENEVA, ILLINOIS - The Chicago Steel will open the 2020-2021 regular season this Saturday, November 14 at 7:35 p.m. against the Muskegon Lumberjacks at Fox Valley Ice Arena, the USHL announced Monday in response to several scheduling changes.
This weekend's USA Hockey National Team Development Program (NTPD) games against the Steel (November 13 & 14) and Lumberjacks (December 15) have been declared a No Contest. Per league safety protocols, minimum standards were not met to play this weekend's games. The United States Hockey League (USHL) will work with the NTDP, Steel and Lumberjacks to reschedule those games.
In response to the changes, the Steel and Lumberjacks elected to move their originally scheduled matchup on March 7, 2021 to November 14.
Per current State of Illinois guidelines, spectators are not permitted to attend Steel home games.
