
Steel Take Down Phantoms

BENSENVILLE, Ill. (April 2, 2014) - The Chicago Steel used a four goal third period to defeat the Youngstown Phantoms 5-2. The game was highlighted by Danny Fetzer's hat trick.
The Phantoms took a 1-0 lead late in the first period. The Steel tied things up at the 6:42 mark of the second period. John Ernsting scored while Fredrik Olofsson and Jake Bunz assisted. The Phantoms were able to take advantage of a power play a few minutes later to reclaim the lead 2-1.
Just a 1:59 into the third, Fetzer converted while shorthanded to even the game. About halfway through the period, John Schilling scored while on the man advantage. The Steel would not relinquish their lead. Fetzer put an exclamation mark on the victory with two shorthanded goals to end the period. CJ Smith, Olofsson, Schilling (2), and McDonald all picked up assists in the third.
Cale Morris stopped 33 of the 35 shots he faced en route to the victory. Fetzer, Schilling, and Morris were named the three stars of the game.
