Indiana Ice News Release

The Indiana Ice took on the defending Clark and Anderson Cup champion Dubuque Fighting Saints on Wednesday at Pan Am Pavilion and handed the visitors a 9-1 drubbing for the ages.

Scott Conway (4G, 1A) owned the night with the first four-goal contest in franchise history while he and Dwyer Tschantz (1G, 4A) tied former Iceman Blake Coleman-Miami and Brian Ferlin-Cornell with a franchise-high five-point performance.

Jacob Pritchard (1G, 3A), Aidan Muir (1G, 1A), Patrick Newell (3A) and Brian Pinho (1G, 2A) all enjoyed multiple-point outings against Dubuque while netminder Jason Pawloski joined a three-way tie for first in the league with 26 wins.

Indy dominated the first period of play both physically and in the shot count with twelve shots on goal. A backhanded flip by Pritchard cancelled out Seamus Malone's power play tally to knot the score at 1-1 in the first. Tschantz followed shortly by a snipe to give Indiana a 2-1 lead heading into the first intermission.

When play resumed in the second period, Indiana let loose with an offensive barrage that included five goals in just under ten minutes. Conway walked out of the second period alone with the second hat trick in as many Pan Am Pavilion games.

In addition to Conway's second "hatty" of the season, Muir and Pinho contributed goals for the Ice. Pritchard's three assists in the period complemented Conway's hat trick in the 20-minute onslaught that gave Indy a 7-1 lead going into the locker room.

The third period started with Jason Salvaggio immediately punctuating the crease a mere 77 seconds into the frame. Sam Kurker and Ryan Mantha received helper's credit on the goal. Indy's leading scorer Conway polished off his record-setting night after picking up a loose puck in the low slot and burying it for his 31st goal of the season.

The win once again moved the Ice into a tie with the Waterloo Black Hawks for the Anderson Cup Championship with two games remaining in the season.

Indy wraps up the regular-season home schedule on Friday (4/4) with a Bankers Life Fieldhouse matchup with the Green Bay Gamblers on "Hockey for Heart Night," sponsored by St.Vincent Heart Center. The contest is set to start at 7:05 pm.

The 2013-14 regular season concludes on Saturday with a road tilt against the Chicago Steel from the Edge Ice Arena at 8:05 pm.

Individual and group tickets are on sale for the remaining 2013-2014 Indiana Ice home game and tickets for the Clark Cup playoffs, presented by Ivy Tech, will be on sale starting Friday. For more information, call the Indiana Ice at 317-925-4423.
