The Steel beat the Madison Capitols by a 9-1 score on Saturday night at Fox Valley Ice Arena ... Chicago went 3-for-3 on the power play and cancelled all three infractions taken in the win ... The Steel put 36 shots on net in the win while Madison charted 32 shots ... Chicago is the first team in the USHL to reach the 20-point mark this season. Mackie Samoskevich reached the back of the net twice in the win, his first-career two-goal effort. Uula Ruikka picked up three points with a marker and two helpers in the win. The blueliner now has 11 points (3G, 8A) during the 2019-20 campaign. Sam Colangelo potted two goals and added a helper, his third three-point outing of the season. He has five markers in his last five games. Tyler Carpenter notched a marker and picked up an assist. He now has nine points (5G, 4A) this year. Owen Power scored his fifth goal of the season in the win, giving him 14 points (5G, 9A) this season. Brendan Brisson added a tuck and pushed his season total to 14 points (6G, 8A). Dawson Pasternak netted his second goal of the year in the win and added two helpers. Pasternak has eight points (2G, 6A) this year. Sean Farrell tallied his seventh multi-point outing of the season with two assists. His 20 points (6G, 14A) lead the team this year. Elis Hede registered a pair of helpers in the win. Jack Babbage, Jimmy Dowd Jr. and Matty De St. Phalle each recorded an assist in the win. Victor Ostman turned away a season-high 31 shots in the victory

On Tonight's Performance: "I think we were a little flat last night coming off the bus, a little bit of a slow start. I think tonight we bounced back with intensity and details and stuff like that.

On Tonight's Game: "I thought we had a good start. The game last night was a tough game. Madison came out really hard, it was a really hard-fought game all the way through. I thought our details, our habits, everything that we always talk about was more consistent today."
