Cedar Rapids, IA - The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders defeated the Fargo Force on Friday night by a score of 4-2. Forward Jack O'Leary tallied four assists on the night- one for every RoughRiders goal- including one on Jackson Jutting's third-period game winner.
The RoughRiders scored first just 1:51 into the game with a goal from Nikolai Mayorov assisted by O'Leary and defenseman Michael Suda. Fargo's Kaden Bohlsen put his team on the scoreboard ten minutes later, assisted by Alex Nordstrom and Jack Robilotti. Just minutes later, RoughRiders forward Justin Hryckowian scored the second Cedar Rapids goal of the night, with assists again from O'Leary and Suda. With thirty seconds left in the first period, Force forward Tristan Broz scored the tying goal on the power play, assisted by Bohlsen and Casey McDonald.
The second period saw no scoring, but the RoughRiders cemented the win in the third period with two unanswered goals. Jutting's game winner, assisted by O'Leary and Ben Meehan came on the power play at 10:35. Hryckowian scored his second goal of the night on the Force's empty net at 19:08.
The RoughRiders are back at The Stable tonight, taking on the Waterloo Black Hawks. Tonight completes the Salute to Military Weekend with a live jersey auction immediately following the game.
