The Steel tallied their highest goal total of the season in an 11-5 win against the Madison Capitols on Friday night at Bob Suter's Capitol Ice Arena ... Chicago notched a six-goal second period, their highest-scoring frame of the season, all within a span of 10:15 ... The Steel scored their first shorthanded goal of the year in the win ... The 11-5 win was the first time Chicago has reached the 11-goal mark in a game since Feb. 16, 2007.
Mathieu De St. Phalle tallied three points (1G, 2A) on the night, surpassing the 100-point mark in his USHL career. De St. Phalle now has 101 points (31G, 70A) in 137 games played.
Jack Babbage charted his first-career two-goal game in the win, pushing his season total to eight points (3G, 5A)
Gunnarwolfe Fontaine notched a career-high with five points (1G, 4A) on Friday. Fontaine now has 19 points (9G, 10A) this season.
Erik Middendorf charted a four-point outing (2G, 2A) and now has five points (3G, 2A) in three games thus far.
Sean Farrell extended his league lead in points with a goal and three helpers in the win. Farrell has posted 27 points (8G, 19A) this year, the most on the Chicago roster.
Matt Coronato picked up a three-point (1G, 2A) night, his highest single-game total this season, including a shorthanded marker.
Sam Colangelo tallied a goal and a helper to extend his point streak (7G, 4A) to six games.
Brendan Brisson notched his first-career three-assist outing in the victory. He now has 21 points (8G, 13A) on the year.
John Spetz and Luke Reid each netted a goal in the win.
Josh Doan had two assists while Jimmy Dowd Jr., Liam Devlin and Uula Ruikka each added helpers.
Ian Shane turned away 24 shots in the win. His record now stands at 5-1-1-0 between the Steel pipes.
