-SAWBUCK SERIES RENEWED: The State College Spikes continue the fifth edition of the SawBuck Series tonight against the Williamsport Crosscutters. With last night's win, the 'Cutters now lead the all-time series, 25-24, with a 12-12 tie in games in State College. In the all-time series runs total, however, Williamsport leads State College, 225-204.

-LAST SEASON: Two home runs by Williamsport's Domingo Santana proved the difference as the Crosscutters topped the Spikes, 5-3, in the season opener for both team. Santana collected a total of four RBI in the game, with two coming on a blast to right-center in the fourth inning, and another coming on a solo shot to left in the seventh. The Spikes received offensive contributions from Justin Bencsko, who tripled in a sixth-inning run, and Gift Ngoepe, who went 1-for-3 with a run batted in and made several outstanding defensive plays. Zack Von Rosenberg took the loss in his second career pro start.

-DODSON MAKES THE START FOR SPIKES: Southpaw Zack Dodson will begin the game on the mound for State College. Dodson, only 19 years old, is making his second career pro appearances, and first-ever pro start. The Natalia, TX native pitched a single inning for the GCL Pirates in 2009. Dodson went 23-0 over his junior and senior years at Medina Valley High School, including a no-hitter in 2008, before being picked by the Pirates in the fourth round of the 2009 Draft.

-'CUTTERS CALL OUT FOR ANGELLE: Williamsport will send a Texas left-hander to the hill as well, with Kevin Angelle getting the start. A native of Orange in the Lone Star State, Angelle pitched for the GCL Phillies in 2009 after being drafted in the 32nd round that year. The Lamar University alum went 3-3 in a GCL-high 12 starts, racking up a 1.89 ERA while allowing hitters just a .204 average.

-NORWOOD TO THROW OUT FIRST PITCH: Jordan Norwood, State College High School alum and Penn State's third-leading all-time pass receiver, will throw out the season's ceremonial first pitch. Norwood recently signed a three-year NFL deal with the Eagles.
