
Stars Wrangle Outlaws 7-6 in Mesquite

Mesquite, TX - For the second time since joining the Tacoma Stars (10-6-2), Stefan Mijatovic picked up the game-winning goal, this time with 1:19 left in the 4th quarter to beat the Texas Outlaws (10-10-1) by a 7-6 final at Mesquite Arena. With the win the Stars pull even with the Outlaws at 30 points in the standings and Tacoma holds three games in hand as the teams battle for positioning in the MASL Western Conference playoffs.
Tacoma's newest member, Justin Stinson, also made his presence felt in his Stars debut as he scores a power play goal with 2:36 left in the 4th quarter to give the Stars their first lead of the game at 6-5.
Texas was able to equalize the game at 6-6 with 1:39 left but Tacoma sealed the victory just 20 seconds later.
In a display of their depth, the Stars benefitted from goals by seven different players and nine players received a point in the win.
Chris Toth stopped 10 shots in goal as he picked up the win for Tacoma.
