
Stars Split Series with Hustle 126-119

SALT LAKE CITY - The Salt Lake City Stars (8-11) , the official NBA G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, fell in a close contest, 126-119, to the Memphis Hustle (10-10) (Memphis Grizzlies affiliate), splitting their two-game home series Thursday night at the Maverik Center.
All Salt Lake City starters scored in double-figures. Utah Jazz two-way player Johnny Juzang, led the game with a season-high 34-point performance. The guard knocked down six three-pointers, grabbed seven rebounds, and blocked two shots for the Stars. Fellow two-way player Jason Preston, nearly notched another triple-double performance, tallying 22 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists. Micah Potter rounded out the two-ways for the evening, securing a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds.
The contest began with a back-and-forth first quarter battle, seeing 12 lead changes and four ties. Juzang went four-of-five from the field, leading the Stars to a high scoring quarter with the Hustle. However, the Memphis team pulled out ahead, as the Stars ended the first quarter trailing 33-31. The Hustle took their biggest lead of the night with 11 points in the second, before the Stars battled back, tying the game 62-62 as they entered the break.
After the intermission, the teams continued to trade baskets, as both contributed an even 27 points in the third, ending the frame in yet another tie. The fourth quarter saw Memphis edge ahead, capturing the final victory 126-119.
Hustle forward Adonis Arms led Memphis with 28 points on six-of-10 from beyond the arc, adding four rebounds, and four assists. DeJon Jarreau put on an impressive triple-double performance, collecting 25 points, 19 rebounds, and 13 assists.
The Stars head into the All-Star break, before returning to the Maverik Center to take on the Ontario Clippers (LA Clippers affiliate) on Friday, Feb. 23. The contest tips off at 7:00 p.m. MT and will be broadcast LIVE on Jazz+ and ESPN+.
