
College Park Heads into All-Star Break with 111-93 Win Over Birmingham Squadron

College Park, Georgia. - The College Park Skyhawks (12-8) defeated the Birmingham Squadron (8-12), 111-93 and head into the all-star break on a two-game winning streak. Tonight's win also clinched a sweep of the season series against the Birmingham Squadron.
Jordan Bowden netted a season high for the second game in a row, pouring in 25 points behind 7-10 shooting from deep, adding two steals, two rebounds and one assist in 29 minutes.
Since joining College Park, Bowden has gone 12-16 from downtown (.750 3FG%) and 17-24 over his last three contests (.708 3FG%).
Not far behind Bowden was Seth Lundy, who netted 19 points behind 6-13 from three-point territory, marking the fourth game out of his last five he has knocked down five-or-more triples.
The duo of Bowden and Lundy are the first pair of Skyhawks since Dec. 6th to each pour in six-or-more threes in a game (Tyson Etienne, six threes; Lundy, seven threes).
Chris Silva collected his seventh 20-point, 10-rebound game of the regular season, notching exactly 20 points and 10 rebounds, in addition to three assists, two blocks and one steal in 24 minutes.
Vit Krejci collected a career-high 12 rebounds, while Jarkel Joiner (13 points) and Brandon Randolph (16 points) each poured in double digits off the bench.
College Park jumped out to a quick start gaining an early lead in the first quarter at the 9:59 mark, which they would never relinquish for the rest of the game.
An 11-2 run at the front end of the third quarter, bolstered by threes from Jarkel Joiner and Rob Baker, would keep the game at bay as College Park would hold a double-digit lead from the 3:03 mark on.
Birmingham was led by Dereon Seabron, who secured team-highs of 19 points and eight rebounds, while Izaiah Brockington and Jalen Crutcher each netted 15 points.
The Skyhawks head into the break with a 12-8 record, sitting at fourth place in the East with 14 games remaining in the regular season.
College Park will travel to Indiana on Feb. 22nd and then to Greensboro on Feb. 24th, before returning to Gateway Center Arena on Feb. 28th where they will start a six-game home stand with a matchup against Cleveland. Fans can visit cpskyhawks.com to secure their seats now.
