
Stars Sign Defenseman Brodie

Cedar Park, TX - The Texas Stars announced on Thursday that the team has signed defenseman Cameron Brodie to a PTO (professional tryout agreement).
Brodie is a second-year pro who spent the first 43 games of the year with Stockton of the ECHL. In his time with the Thunder, Brodie totaled five points (all assists) and 54 penlaty minutes. He also spent his rookie season with Stockton in 2010-11, scoring two goals and totaling 12 points in 60 games played. Prior to turning pro, the 23-year old played junior hockey in the BCHL from 2004-09 and one year at the University of British Columbia in 2009-10. Brodie will look to make his AHL debut this weekend when the Stars host the Houston Aeros.
The Stars return to Cedar Park Center for a two-game home stand against the Houston Aeros. Friday's game is set for a 7:30 p.m. faceoff and it is presented by Community Impact Newspapers. Friday is also a 3-2-1 night, featuring $3 domestic drafts, $2 sodas and $1 hot dogs. The first 2,500 fans to Friday's game will receive a player magnet courtesy of Time Warner Cable. Texas faces off against Houston at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 25th. Saturday features the State Farm Family Four Pack, consisting of four tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas, starting at $48. The first 2,500 fans to Saturday's game will also receive a Texas Stars gym bag courtesy of Living Direct.
