Stars Prepare for 2022 NHL Entry Draft

The 2022 NHL Entry Draft will be held July 7-8 at Bell Centre in Montreal, QC. The first round will take place on Thursday beginning at 7 p.m. ET. Rounds 2-7 are set for July 8.
Over the last 11 NHL Drafts, the Stars have had at least one player selected. Cameron Whitehead leads the way for this year's group of potential draftees, ranking seventh among North American Goaltenders in the final NHL Central Scouting rankings.
Michael Mastrodomenico (78th), Brennan Ali (83rd), Marian Mosko (89th) and former Stars James Stefan (157th) and Luke Mittelstadt (168th) were also recognized. Jack Sparkes (127th) and Veit Oswald (108th - International Skaters) were taken by the Stars in the 2022 USHL Phase II Draft. Sparkes recently attended Lincoln's Main Camp this past week at John Breslow Ice Hockey Center.
Any player born between January 1, 2002, and September 15, 2004, is eligible for selection in this year's Draft. The full list of eligible Lincoln Stars (past and present) can be found below:
