
Stars Fall to Ontario 6-3 in Front of 3,505 at ShoWare

Kent, WA. - The Tacoma Stars (2-1) were handed their first loss of the season by the Ontario Fury (3-0) in front of 3,505 fans at the accesso ShoWare Center Saturday night. The Fury were led by MASL leading goal scorer Adrien Perez who picked up another four goals in the win. The loss comes in Stars Head Coach Darren Sawatzky's final home game with Tacoma.
Perez opened the scoring in the first for Ontario with 7:33 left in the quarter. Juan Carlos Gonzalez scored his first of two goals of the night for the Fury and Perez knocked in his second of the game to close out scoring in the first.
The Stars turned the tide in the second, picking up three goals of their own including markers by Cory Keitz, Matt Clare and Jamael Cox, who banged his in with just three seconds left in the half. Perez completed his hat trick in the second with 4:54 remaining.
Scoring slowed dramatically in the second half with the Fury scoring the only two goals of the half, Gonzalez with his second of the game in the third and Perez with his fourth in the fourth to reach the 6-3 final score.
