Stars Announce Training Camp Roster

CEDAR PARK, TX - The Texas Stars, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Dallas Stars, announced today the roster of 37 players that are expected to report for the team's 2012-13 training camp.
The Stars players will officially report to Cedar Park Center on Friday at 5:00 pm and all players will go through medical examinations. Saturday, September 29th is the first day of workouts with the team fitness testing in the morning and the first on-ice practice taking place that afternoon.
Here are the 37 players expected to report to the Texas Stars 2012-13 training camp, consisting of 21 forwards, 12 defensemen and four goaltenders:
Forwards: Andrew Carroll, Jacob Cepis, Alex Chiasson, Cody Eakin, Matt Fraser, Austin Fyten, Luke Gazdic, Scott Glennie, Mike Hedden, Scott Howes, Tristan King, Travis Morin, Toby Peterson, Antoine Roussel, Colton Sceviour, Austin Smith, Reilly Smith, Mathieu Tousignant, Taylor Vause, Tomas Vincour and Francis Wathier.
Defensemen: Cam Barker, Jordie Benn, Matt Case, Jace Coyle, Brenden Dillon, Maxime Fortunus, Jordan Hill, Hubert Labrie, Patrik Nemeth, Jamie Oleksiak, John Ryder and Tyler Sloan.
Goaltenders: Tyler Beskorowany, Jack Campbell, Cristopher Nilstorp and Josh Robinson.
The team will hold a scrimmage on Monday, October 1st from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm that is open to the public. Fans are asked to park on the north side of the building and enter through the Northwest Plaza, where they will be directed to sit in one of several designated center ice sections. All Texas Stars training camp practices will be held at Cedar Park Center and are open to members of the media.
Texas will play a three-game preseason schedule, including two home games at Cedar Park Center on Wednesday, October 3rd at 7:00 pm against the Houston Aeros and on Friday, October 5th at 7:00 pm against the Rampage. The Stars open the 2012-13 AHL season on Saturday, October 13th at San Antonio and their home opener comes on Sunday, October 14th as they host the Charlotte Checkers for a 7:00 pm face off at Cedar Park Center. 2012-13 season seat packages are on sale now.
