Stars announce third jersey dates

DES MOINES, IA - Iowa Stars President John Pettit today announced three dates in which the Stars will wear their new third jerseys. The Stars will be wearing their new black jerseys for three dates during the 2006 portion of the season, with additional dates announced at a later time. The Stars will wear the third jersey for the following home dates:

Saturday, December 2nd against the Peoria Rivermen - 7:05 PM

Saturday, December 30th against the Milwaukee Admirals - 7:05 PM

Sunday, December 31st against the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights - 5:05 PM

The Stars predominately black third jersey features the familiar green and gold scheme/piping across the bottom and in the elbow area, while the crest of the jersey will highlight the signature Iowa Stars crest. As with their white home jersey and green away sweaters, there is a tie-down neck feature, while the shoulder patches will proudly display the State of Iowa and the Dallas Stars logo patch.

IOWA STARS INFO: The Stars face the Syracuse Crunch on Saturday, October 21st. Wells Fargo Arena game time is 7:05 PM. Saturday's game will kick-off the Stars Breast Cancer Awareness and Fundraising efforts. The Stars will be selling limited edition Pink Pucks for $10, with $5 from each sale going back to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
