Today Portland Pirates players Tim Brent and Curtis Glencross visited the East End Community School in Portland to present the Pirates "Goals for Success" program sponsored by Healthy Maine Partnerships and Pepsi.

Tomorrow night, Pirates head coach Kevin Dineen and defenseman Bruno St. Jacques sit down with Gary Prolman on "Prolman from the Bench" to talk about the Pirates early season success. The program airs on The Community Television Network (Channel 4 in Portland and surrounding towns) at 6:00 p.m.

Next home game: October 20th vs. Lowell 7:05 p.m. Amato's Future Stars Friday! UPCOMING PROMOTIONS Saturday, October 21st - Starting on Saturday, the Portland Press Herald will begin printing the first of 15 action photos as part of the 2006-2007 Portland Pirates Poster Collection. Every Saturday the Portland Press Herald will print one large action photo on the back of the sports section of the Portland Press Herald. Sunday, October 22nd vs. Binghamton Senators 4:05 p.m. - Sunday will be the first of several "Skate with the Team" events sponsored by Weight Watchers. Fans are invited to bring their skates and join the Pirates on the ice after the game.

HOCKEY NIGHT IN PORTLAND! Saturday, October 28th vs. Providence Bruins 7:05 p.m. - AAA Member Appreciation Night. In celebration of 30 Years of AHL Hockey in Portland, the Pirates will be wearing throwback jerseys. AAA of Northern New England will be at the game taking pictures of fans with Crackers and Salty Pete and giving out great prizes.

IN THE COMMUNITY

Tuesday, October 31st -The entire Pirates team will make the first of many trips to the Barbara Bush Children's Hospital at Maine Medical Center. During this visit the players will be involved in the annual Halloween parade starting at 1:00 p.m.
