Stars Acquire Scottie Lewis

SALT LAKE CITY - The Salt Lake City Stars, the official NBA G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, announced today the acquisition of guard Scottie Lewis from the available player pool.

Lewis (6-5, 185, Florida) has one year of NBA experience on a two-way contract with the Charlotte Hornets (2021-22), after being drafted by the Hornets in the second round of the 2021 NBA Draft (No. 56 overall).

The Bronx, New York native joins the Stars most recently from the Rip City Remix, where he played in four games for the Trail Blazers affiliate team, averaging 9.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 24.6 minutes of action. The guard owns additional G League experience from his time with the Greensboro Swarm (2021-22), appearing in 32 games, with averages of 12.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 2.2 assists.

Prior to his professional career, Lewis played two seasons for Florida, earning collegiate career averages of 8.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.1 assists, along with an SEC All-Freshman team accolade.
