Stars Acquire 6th Round Pick from Omaha

LINCOLN, Neb. - The Lincoln Stars have acquired a 2019 Phase II 6th Round Pick from the Omaha Lancers in exchange for forward Austen Long, Stars General Manager Jon Hull announced today.

Long, 20, played 39 games with the Stars during the 2017-18 season, tallying six goals and six assists for 12 points while serving as an alternate captain. The Blaine, Minn. product played his 100th USHL game with the Stars on Oct. 27, 2017 against the Tri-City Storm. He was acquired by the Stars prior to last season from the Chicago Steel following their Clark Cup Championship. In 133 career games, The 5-foot-11, 170-pound forward totaled 19 goals and 22 assists for 41 points with 190 penalty minutes.

The Stars open the 2018-19 home schedule on Friday, Oct. 5 at 7:05 p.m. against the Omaha Lancers.
