SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Sioux Falls Stampede unveiled the club's 20th anniversary logo on Wednesday. The emblem will be featured throughout the 2018-19 season to commemorate 20 seasons of Stampede hockey in the United States Hockey League (USHL).

The logo features the classic buffalo emblem charging through two embolden Roman numeral X's in Vegas gold, symbolizing 20 seasons of Stampede hockey in Sioux Falls. A silhouette of the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center that both represents the home of Sioux Falls Stampede and growth of hockey in the region stands as the backdrop. In the foreground lays a ribbon in the team's primary navy blue with the years 1999 to 2019 in white.

"We are excited to celebrate this historic season with our loyal fans, the community and the city of Sioux Falls while paying tribute to the growth of hockey in the region over the last 20 years," said Stampede Executive Vice President Jim Olander.

The 20th anniversary logo will be worn as a patch on the shoulders of the Stampede's jerseys for all home and away games throughout the 2018-19 regular season. It will also be showcased on all promotional items and available for purchase at the Slap Shot ProShop at home games throughout the season.

Events and special promotions celebrating the 20th anniversary season will be unveiled in the coming weeks.

Sioux Falls was granted a franchise in 1998 and played its inaugural game on Sept. 24, 1999, versus the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders at the Sioux Falls Arena. Since inception the team has hoisted two Clark Cup championships in 2007 and 2013, one Anderson Cup championship for the league's highest win percentage during the 2005-06 season and is a five-time USHL Organization of the Year recipient: 2001-02, 2005-06, 2013-14, 2014-15 and 2017-18.

The commemorative logo was designed and developed by Digital Marketing and Media Manager Jasen Robbennolt. The original charging buffalo emblem was created by Paulsen marketing of Sioux Falls.

Single-game ticket information and preseason opponents and times will be released early next week. Season, suite and group tickets are on sale now through the Stampede office by calling 336-6060.

The 2018-19 regular season begins with the 2018 Fall Classic in Pittsburgh with games on Sept. 27 and Sept. 29 versus the Central Illinois Flying Aces at 7 p.m. and Team USA program at 1 p.m., respectively.

The Herd's home opener is set for Saturday, Oct. 13 against the Fargo Force at 7:05 p.m. at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center. The first 1,000 kids 12-and-under will receive a Stampede replica jersey, courtesy of Waterbury Heating & Cooling and Coleman.
