Green Bay Blizzard News Release

Green Bay, WI: The Green Bay Blizzard has added another veteran player for 2012 with the signing of wide receiver Scott Burnoski. He has five years of indoor football experience, including four seasons with the Blizzard.

"To be able to sign such an accomplished and experienced player like Scotty Burnoski is certainly like having Christmas come early,"said Blizzard Head Coach Robert Fuller. "When I think of a true football player - a guy that can play on offense, defense, and be a special teams standout - I think of guys like Scotty. He is a clutch performer, he is a team first guy, and he brings a strong veteran presence to our offense."

Burnoski began his career with the Blizzard in 2007. He appeared in 11 games and had 58 receptions for 775 yards and a team leading 17 touchdowns. In 2008, Burnoski led the team to the Midwest Division Championship with 83 catches for 1,103 yards and 24 touchdowns. He spent the 2009 season with the Milwaukee Iron.

The playmaking wide receiver returned to Green Bay in 2010. Burnoski led the Blizzard with 30 receptions for 374 yards and 11 touchdowns. He missed the majority of 2011 after suffering an ankle injury in the first game of the season. Burnoski played college football in Wisconsin at UW-La Crosse. He helped lead the Eagles to three consecutive WIAC Conference Championships. Burnoski was named the WIAC Player of the Year along with All-American Honors in his senior year. He also holds many receiving records at UWL.
