
Stanley Cup Comes to Quad Cities Saturday, March 3

MOLINE, Ill. (February 22, 2012) - The Quad City Mallards of the Central Hockey League today announced the Stanley Cup will come to the Quad Cities and the Mallards' game against the Evansville IceMen at the i wireless Center on Saturday, March 3.
"We're thrilled to have the chance to bring the Stanley Cup to the Quad Cities," said Mallards executive vice president Ryan Simmons. "It's the most storied and sought after trophy in sports and we feel privileged to be able to present the cup to our fans."
Fans will have the chance to have their photo taken with the cup beginning at 6:00 p.m. on the i wireless Center main concourse- the Mallards' match-up with the IceMen faces off at 7:05 p.m. Photos with the cup will be available for $5 to fans using their own camera and for $10 if taken by the Mallards' photographer. Photos with the cup will be available throughout the game.
Hockey's ultimate prize, the Stanley Cup is the oldest trophy competed for by professional athletes in North America. First awarded in 1893, the cup has been competed for exclusively by National Hockey League clubs since 1926. The Boston Bruins are the reigning Stanley Cup champions.
Tickets to the March 3 game are available for a special discounted rate if purchased by February 29- lower bowl seats are available for $13 and upper bowl seats for $9. Fans can contact the Mallards at (309) 277-1364 or tickets@myqcmallards.com for more information about tickets.
Single game tickets are also available at the i wireless Center box office, at Ticketmaster outlets, through www.ticketmaster.com or through Ticketmaster charge-by-phone toll free. The box office is open weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and on game days from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the second period. Tickets for all home games are available for $12 in the upper level and $17 in the lower level and $25 for the first row along the glass for adults. Tickets for kids 12 and under are available for $5 off adult rates. In addition, tickets are available to military personnel for $2 off the regular adult rate.
